Clarissa Sowatzke began her ballet training at the Severance Ballet Conservatory in California with Carla Stallings-Lippert (former ABT soloist and Boston Ballet principal) and Jasmin Kloos. Her training brought her around the country to train with programs such as; American Ballet Theatre, Ballet West, Oklahoma City Ballet, and eventually to train for a year with Oregon Ballet Theatre and dance with their company. After training with many prestigious instructors, she has become familiar with various ballet techniques including the ABT curriculum, Balanchine, and Vaganova. She then added to her credentials by graduating with honors from Belhaven University with a BFA in Dance, emphasis in ballet performance and choreography. Besides her passion for ballet, Clarissa graduated with a BSN from Hawaii Pacific University with honors and is now a registered nurse. Clarissa has been teaching for 15 years and is thrilled to now be teaching for Prisma. She is excited to share her knowledge with her students and contribute to their walk with the Lord.
